I'm trying to add my email contacts account to my wife's email contacts on her computer. It asks for my email address and password. I've tried my Apple ID password that works in multiple applications but does not work for my email account. I've tried every other password I've used in the last 15 years. None of them work. How can I recover or change my email password?

Enter the Apple (iCloud) ID, and click Forgot Password. See if you can get a Rescue or Notification email option if necessary. Link to contact Apple Support at the end of the 2nd article.

Hi Eric, When I first read your email I skipped right over the links. Sorry about that. I followed the first link and reset my password. After a couple more failed attempts trying to add an account through the Contacts window, it finally occurred to me to click Apple-System preferences-Internet accounts. Finally success!!!!! Thanks for your help!
There is no place to click Forgot Password.
Please read the two links I posted. You don't do that in the Contacts app.
