Numbers / Find and Replace

Hi everyone !

Almost two years ago, there were a discussion on Find and Replace in Numbers. At that time,

SGIII gave what looks like a very helpful tool (Automator service) that I would have love to use but it is not accessible anymore. Is there a way to received a link to it ?

Here under I quote SG answer in italic :

Excel is a very good app on the Mac, but in this case you can do pretty much the same thing in Numbers too! You do not have to go through tedious manual workarounds. You just need to take advantage of a little technology Apple has provided to extend the capabilities of Numbers (and other apps). It's called an Automator Service (sometimes called a Quick Action).

For example this Find Replace in Selection Automator Service I've been using for several years places a Find Replace in Selection item in your Numbers > Services menu. All you have to do is make your selection of cells and choose from that menu and answer the search for and replace with prompts.

To install double-click the download workflow and if necessary give permission at System Preferences > Security & Privacy and also make sure Automator and Numbers are listed and checked at System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Accessibility. Installation takes less than 30 seconds and you're good to go.

P.S. If you need to find and replace within formulas the way you can in Excel let me know and I can post a Service for that too.

Here are links to Dropbox downloads for the two Automator Servicees.

Find Replace in Selection --find replace within selected cells rather that the entire document

Find Replace in Formulas -- find replace within formulas.
