what's the best way to keep the MacBook pro-M1 20202 battery healthy while using an external monitor?
should I always keep the AC power on? btw I don't use the external monitor in a close LID mode. I use the external monitor as my secondary monitor, btw I use an official dongle for the HDMI cable.

I wouldn’t worry about the battery. I use my M1 MacBook Pro in the same manner as you do. It is always plugged in. The unit is designed to manage the incoming power to the battery and only draws as much as it needs to keep the battery charged at an optimum rate.
