ECG not working since the 8.x upgrades

I just took an ECG on my Series 7 on the absolute latest WatchOS 8.4.2 and it worked as expected. If your watch isn't working as expected, schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for evaluation.

There is one more suggestion I would make before going to the Genius Bar. Unpair the watch from your iPhone. Then pair it back. The watch will be erased in the unpairing procedure and a backup made. Then when you pair it again, you set it up either as a new watch or from the backup. This may cure your issues with ECG.

You either restarted or force restarted your watch after the OS update? A restart immediately after an update usually prevents things from not working as expected.

I restart all of my devices immediately after every OS update as standard practice.

Do this and then try the ECG function again --> Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

This is a user to user only forum. No one from Apple is here, so other than others having the issue, no one from Apple will confirm anything. Whether its hardware or software can't be determined here. As I've mentioned, I'm not having an issue with ECG on two Series 7 Watches. You can find out however, by scheduling an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar where Apple can test it for you.

No sorry. I have two Series 7 watches in my home and both work as expected with ECG. If you can't go to the Genius Bar, if you're in the US, Best Buy is an Authorized Apple Service Provider.

I have the same issue - ECG app fickle after latest upgrade. Starts and stops frequently. Any arm movement restarts the tracing. None of this occurred before the software update and I went so far as to reset watch to factory settings and re-pair to my phone. Genius Bar is not in the immediate future. Any other thoughts?
