iPad screen lockout timing

Can the time be changed that it takes for the screen to remain active after a period of no activity.

I appreciate increasing the screen on time will flatten the battery quicker but sometimes having to keep entering the password constantly is a pain.

E.g. When following a cooking recipe ( Reading some instructions, carrying them out, reading the next bit, etc etc

From your post it appears you are looking for a way to adjust the time before the iPad screen locks if it is not used.


On your iPad, tap on Settings > Display & Brightness. Look for Auto-Lock. You can choose from the options available there.
