Hello all,
I’d like to play a sound (from Music) when I receive a message from a certain phone number or an email from a specific email address.
I’ve tried using the Shortcuts app, but it seems as though it cannot “watch” for these things.
I am currently making use of the contact specific text tone, but would prefer a different solution.

It appears that trying to use a song as a sound that plays when you receive a message from one specific contact. You've tried creating a Shortcut to do this, but it's not working, and we're glad to explain the reason.
Use tones and ringtones with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support -- A tone or ringtone is set to a specific length and a song goes over that limit. Even when using a Shortcut, it won't play as you have found. If the song you want played is important to you, see if it's been converted to a tone/ringtone.
