My iPhone does not get an alert when I get a text message. My Apple Watch would vibrate when the iPhone was is lock position. Now I don’t get any notifications on anything

First, make sure your notifications are on for iMessage on your iPhone. You may have accidentally turned them off. You can check that in Settings. Tap Notifications > Messages > turn on Allow Notifications.
If your Messages notifications are already on, try checking for a software update via General > Software Update, and install any update available. This may fix the issue you're experiencing.
If these steps don't work, try contacting Apple Support or you could try to restore your iPhone.

My iPhone 8 does not get notications on text messages. My Apple Watch would vibrate when I got a text message. I get no notifications at all now
