What are you trying to do? The mini headphone port is a 3.5mm combination headphone & mic input, will work with all Apple headsets and others with built-in mics.

In that case, I would use a 3.5mm wired combo headset - any by Apple or others with built-in mic.

Thanks for the prompt response. I want to speak into the mic. I didn't realize the port would also work for input. The documentation wasn't clear to me.
