Trying to reset my iPod classic 30GB

I am getting this message: Your iPod "cannot be restored because it contains files that are in use by another application"


Help!

Quit all other apps before opening iTunes (or Finder with macOS 10.15 or later) and try again. If that doesn't work, eject the iPod then restart your computer and your iPod (you can restart iPod by holding menu and centre buttons until you see the apple logo) and try again.
