I'm being charged for iPhone Apple Care when I already trade it

My two son’s traded in their iPhones last year I noticed that I’m still be charged for one iPhone 7 AppleCare. I have two iPhones and four iPads. I’m not sure why I am still being charged please advise.

Hello again ~ *Contact Apple Support to cancel your plan. Please have these items ready:

The AppleCare agreement number. Sign in to MySupport to look up your agreement number.
The serial number of the device that the plan covers. Here's how to find the serial number.
Your original sales receipt.

Best to go over it with Apple Support.

Is there a way to credit the months the iPhone was traded in? I believe it was June or July of last year.
