I can’t find my Contacts icon how do I locate it and put it where I want on my iPad

Tap on the App Library icon on the far right side of the dock, and use the search there to find it. Once you find it, Drag it back to a home screen or onto the dock.

If the search cannot find it, then it may have been deleted, and would need to be re-downloaded from the App Store. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/contacts/id1069512615#?platform=ipad
