I’m using an Aukey charger with USB-C to lightning at 48w power. My iPhone 13 is new and this is the first charge. It’s very hot. Is that normal?

Question is above.

is it ok that I’m using a 48w fast charger for my new iPhone 13 pro? On the Apple site re: fast charging they list multiple wattage numbers that work but not 48. Overlooked? Intentional?

I ask because my iPhone is hot after 8 minutes of charging. I’ve searched Apple support and general online support but can’t find a clear answer. Thanks!

Hi there Ellapapaya22,

We'd like to help answer your question about charging and temperature for your iPhone.

As you're using a third-party charging accessory, we recommend reaching out to Aukey regarding questions about compatibility with fast charging your iPhone.

For your iPhone getting warm, it's expected behavior for any electronic device to warm while in use. We were able to find a resource that lists not only the temperature range for your iPhone, but also a few examples of when to expect it to get warm: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch gets too hot or too cold

Cheers!
