Can I delete Google Photos if iPhone Photo access is off??????

GOOGLE PHOTOS SUCKS!! That said, has anyone deleted the app while access to the iPhone Photos for Google Photos is off? I want this parasite app out of my life and off my phone. Google wants to charge for their storage, but won't let me delete the photos without deleting them form my iCloud!!

Google Photos is a one way syncing service, unlike iCloud, which is a full 2 way sync. If you delete a photo from Google photos it will be deleted from all devices logged in to Google Photos. However, if you delete a photo from your phone it will not be deleted from Google Photos. So if you log out of Google Photos in the app on your phone (or delete the app), then delete the photo(s) from Google Photos, it will not affect your phone. But test it with an unimportant photo to be sure.
