Thunderbolt cable not working

Hi community. My charger is broken. I mean, it's not visibly broken!!! But it doesn't work. It used to only charge at certain angles. Now it doesn't work at all. Should I just get a new one?

Certain angles? the only angle should connect at is straight in. If it is bent in any manner near the attachment to the port other than how manufactured due to how it is inserted, it may have damaged the port. If just the cable is bent, yes, replace it. Note there are different kinds of thunderbolt cables that look the same. Make sure you get one that is designed as a charging cable.

Similar looking cables can be used for data transfer, and/or connecting displays or are part of hubs. Don't confuse generic cables used to connect iPhones and Androids for the charging cable. And be sure to use the right charger for your computer.

Lollll that is not what I meant. I mean when the cord itself is twisted in certain ways. Like if it's laying flat, it won't charge, but if I slightly bend it into a little loop, it charges. Very gently. Except now it won't charge no matter what I do. It has no visible damage whatsoever. I've had it for about a year and it just gradually stopped working. I guess I'm just gonna get a new one!
