Old iPhone 5c

I found my old iPhone 5c that I had lost when I was in High School in my mom’s house when she was moving. I don’t remember the passcode and I’m locked out of the phone. I’m not using the same Apple account because I used my school email which no longer works. How can I completely reset the phone to give to my little brother?

i found this old phone in the drawer at the house, i wanted to let someone have it but i dont know the passcode my mother gave me her old iphone and i was going to try and use it but she does not know the passcode for the phone so i can wipe it clean

I have a iPad that is previously owned and they don’t remember that passcode I was given an iPad that was previously owned by my boyfriends daughter. She moved out, and we have no way to recover the passcode or sign in using an apple ID. Any suggestions on how to factory reset without a passcode ?
