iPhone 13 pro running 15.3.1
I’m not seeing the camera icon necessary to perform scans in the Notes app on my iPhone. It’s there on my ipad and it’s been there on my phone in the past, but not now. I’ve quit the app and restarted the phone but it’s still not there.

Just checked the settings on my iPad where Notes works - only iCloud selected there. I turned off notes on the other accounts on my phone and all is now well. None of the articles I read on the topic mentioned it should be on iCloud only. Thanks so much!

The camera will appear only for iCloud Notes and "On My iPhone" Notes. Not on Gmail, AOL, Yahoo or any other.
Check iPhone's Settings > Notes >
Accounts >
How many do you have ?
And is Notes ON only on your iCloud?
Default Account >
Is iCloud selected?
Settings > General > Keyboard >
Is Predictive ON?
What happened when you start a new note?
Do you have a camera icon above the Predictive text?
If not, a Plus + sign on the right above the Predictive text?
Is it configured to use iCloud?
