phone numbers unavailable in the contacts list are retrieved through iPhone search

Hello, there are quite a few phone numbers that i am unable to search through the search engine in the contact list. but then i search for the contact in the general search engine , where you search the whole iPhone, and i find it. Where are these phone numbers saved? i hope my question is clear

Why have I lost a large amount of contacts on my iPhone? As of the last 3 days, I cannot pull up regularly used phone numbers from my contact list. Oddly, I can access them by going into messages, clicking on the "info" button, then retrieving the number from there. Has this happened to anyone else?

Phone numbers disappear from contact list A lot of phone numbers, that I have had on my phone for years and years, dissappear from my contact list. There is no pattern - some remain, and some disappear. This can be contacts I registered up to 10 years ago, and contacts I registered two weeks ago. Any ideas what this can be, or how to solve it? Some times I find the number again, if I scroll through all sms- messages, but I have to register the name and info again. Other times I do not find a trace at all.
