CarPlay opens Amazon Music and plays same song each time connecting.

I have wireless CarPlay in a bmw 4 series - however every time I get into my car - CarPlay opens up Amazon Music and plays the same song each and every time I get into the car. Regardless of what I have playing on my phone at the time, its more often podcasts and audiobooks...

CarPlay used to play whatever the last app I was listening too - and that was great! But lately this change is driving me crazy.

Can I stop this from happening?
