How to select all HDR pictures in Photos Library?
This was asked before but the only answers (or lack thereof) I could find were from 2016. Now 6 years later, maybe there is a way to do this.
I find that the HDR version of each photo taken on the iPhone are always nearly useless. Years ago they used to really bring up the shadows and tone down the highlights but these days all they do is CLIP the highlights and do nothing in the shadows. The result is that you end up with twice the number of images in your library. Not only does it take a lot of space but it makes scrolling through large numbers of images much slower. Yes, going forward, you can turn the HDR option off on the iPhone of course. But in the meantime I would like to erase all the existing HDR versions.
There does not seem to be any search option to isolate those images however. Someone had mentioned creating a Smart album with "text includes HDR" but that does not yield anything useful since it is not part of any text. When you look at the Get Info box for an HDR image, the HDR flag does not show up in any field. But it clearly must be in the metadata some place because that is what tells the UI to add a little HDR flag on top of the thumbnails. How can we use that as a search criteria?
Thank you very much for any help.
