iPad to direct open PDF file located on file server

Hi,

How can I get the documents reside on my local file server to open directly via a named path?

For example: smb://file_server/folder1/subfolderA/subfolderG/test.pdf

Is the above file path correct?

I tried using the Open Files but it was not successfully and the iOS always stop at the root i.e. at file server.

If I manually navigate through the folders hierarchy, the PDF can be open.
