Why can’t i get the keyboard to split on my new iPad Pro?

I mainly use my iPad to read, but when I answer the occasional email or need to type, I can’t split the keyboard like my old iPad. This is so frustrating that Apple would take this option away.

Is there any way to turn this option back on?

Split keyboard moved up on the screen Recently the split keyboard on my iPad changed positions and has moved up on the screen, allowing less space to see text being typed and other things happening underneath. Can split keyboard be enabled on 2020 iPad Pro? It's missing from settings. I have a 12.9 inch 2020 iPad Pro and I have tried everything on the internet to activate the split keyboard but the option to enable split keyboard in settings is missing. I cannot switch to the split keyboard from the keyboard itself either. I also have the magic keyboard folio which I'm unsure if that makes a difference. I desperately want to use split keyboard because it is easier to type with on iPad that using the huge one that takes up the whole screen. All help is appreciated!

The iPad Pro does not offer the option of a split keyboard.
