It seems you got to be careful what you say on here otherwise they ban .. some community .. anyway .. my iPad fails to sync with iCloud Drive .. that’s the problem .. changing document storage to iCloud Drive will hide the folders but .. they remain on the iPad and can be viewed by navigating the directory and even revealed by moving an untitled folder into the “hidden” folder .. the duplicate folder is just another untitled folder with the same name and rebooting iPad will give the folder the folder icon .. third party apps also exhibit this corrupt behaviour .. and numerous updates haven’t fixed it .. so I think it’s root level corruption ..

Hi Mandatory_Update_Support,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities. We see you have some concerns regarding the presence of multiple folders with the same name. It looks like this data is stored on your iPad. The community may benefit from additional details to help get you moving in the right direction.

Did you recently sign out of one Apple ID, then sign in using another Apple ID?

Do you use iCloud Drive?

The more information you're able to share, the better equipped the community will be to assist you.

Cheers!
