Apple TV 4K Black Screen w sound most apps

I just bought a new Apple TV 4K and went to set it up on my Sharp 65N3070UW and am getting a black screen with sound on while trying to stream HBO Max, Disney+ and Netflix. Youtube works just as normal. I went through multiple forums and videos and nothing has worked. I bought a new HDMI cable, factory reset Apple TV, tried other HDMI ports on the TV, etc. I went into the Apple TV settings and tried to change the resolution since my TV is only HD and not 4K, but the HDMI signal drops on and off like it's cycling through the resolution settings for a good 8-10 minutes before it reverts back to it's 4K setting and doesn't fix anything. Stranger still, I hooked it up to my Sony Bravia in our bedroom that's over 10 years old and the Apple TV detected the 1080p standard def of that TV and plays all apps just fine. I'm going to post this on the Sharp site also, but the only thing I can think of is the HDMI ports and software (updated) on the Sharp are low grade and not communicating settings to the Apple TV so the Apple TV doesn't know how to adjust itself to the TV settings. Has anyone else experienced this? Was there a solution. I don't understand why when I select the HD resolution setting on the Apple TV it appears to cycle through all the res settings and then just reverts to the 4K res. Any help is appreciated.
