Hi, every time I open a pdf to read and highlight, the highlight function stops working after a few minutes and the highlight options become dim. I can highlight the doc again if I close it and re-open it but this is getting very annoying as I read a lot of pdfs for research.
I wonder if this is some glitch with Microsoft One Drive as all my pdf files are stored in my One Drive account through my University.

Yeah, I just figured out that it is a MS OneDrive cloud issue. OneDrive can automatically sync your cloud files that you are working on. Well this messes up Preview because it is saving versions of the pdf file while you are working. It would be nice if Apple or Microsoft figured this out so syncing was not so disruptive to Preview documents that are being marked up or edited. One short-term solution is to pause the OneDrive syncing feature for several hours while you are working in Preview.

All I can say is it doesn't happen here, I do not have One Drive, but also I don't do tons of PDFs... how many or much gefore you have trouble?
