record audio

hi. I'm attempting to record audio with logic on my new m1 MacBook and a behringer 1820. When I first bought it the other week I hooked it up and checked all 8 channels. Worked as expected. Now I go to use the audio record function and I get zero signal. If I select the internal mic then all is as normal. I hear sound through the behringer 1820 and see signal there too. Zero signal when I select the behringer in logic. Most odd. It most likely is something simple. I've racked my brain cell.

Any suggestions anyone?

Hello, first of all, make sure all physical connections are correct, check audio cables and the signal flow.

Secondly, your audio interface has multiple inputs / outputs, so you need to select a correct input for the target audio track.

Third, if all of the above is set up ok, to actually record into Logic, you also need to arm audio tracks for recording before you hit the "Record" button.

Here's an extract from the manual (for more details on recording see pp. 231-282):
