- But it is higher than the version (10.14.4: 130.0.0.0.0 - removes requirement for Apple SSDs to perform firmware upgrade) the article says removed the requirement for an Apple SSD to update firmware.
However, the recollection that I have does not confirm that 130.0.0.00 removed the Apple SSD requirement. I can't find my previous discussion where I laid this out.
Try installing Monterey on an external disk and see if is successful.
