my AirPods max, when connected to MacBook Pro M1 Pro, only plays out of one ear

Hi, not sure if you've found the fix yet, but I just had the same issue and found the fix.

1. click apple logo in the top left, system preferences
2. Click sound, and then output
3. Select your pair of AirPods from the menu
4. Below the menu you'll see a balance slider - this will be set to left
5. Just drag it to the middle - should be fixed :)

Verify the Balance:

1. Go to: Settings
2. Tap: General
3. Tap: Accessibility
4. Scroll Down: to Hearing
5. Adjust: the audio volume balance

I yelled on twitter about this, but what why and how is this? I love my apple ecosystem but as of late things like this are causing me question if its more of a subscription company failing basic q/a...

If you hook them up to your phone, do you have the same problem?
