Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!
People began telling me I have my notifications silenced for text messages. I turned Focus mode off for the "Do Not Disturb" status, and yet the silenced notifications still show up in me text messages to certain people. So I have no idea what to do next to unsilence my notifications even when Focus mode is off.

After reviewing your post, it seems like notifications are silent when receiving messages. It may be that the conversation is muted.
"Turn on Hide Alerts
.When Hide Alerts is on, the Alerts button appears next to the conversation. This stops notifications only for that conversation, not your device. You’ll still receive all other messages and see notifications for them on your Lock Screen."

Thanks for the update. if the conversation is not muted, and Do Not Disturb is not enabled, next would be to check if notification settings are enabled. Also, see if there are any iOS updates available.
"To turn off notifications selectively for apps, go to Settings > Notifications > Siri Suggestions, then turn off any app."

Thanks for that suggestion. I checked the affected conversations, as well as other conversations, and hide alerts were off on all of them, meaning that no conversations were muted. I did do a search on similar questions from other users and it appears this is a flaw that Apple knows about, and I hope will provide a fix for. Thanks again for looking at my question.
Thanks again Mario49. Checked the settings you noted, and all are on, meaning Messages are not being muted or silenced in any way. So I will now just look for an Apple update to clear up the problem.
