Make Quick Notes not "Float on top" by deafult

Hi,

When creating quick notes on macOS Monterey they are set by default to "Float on top".

I waited for the Quick Notes feature for a long time. However, when using notes I usually toggle between windows and on my 13-inches screen the note hides a lot of screen.

Is there any way to make new Quick Notes appear with the "Float on top" option turned off? Without the need to toggle 'Window > Float on top' option each time?

Thanks

MacBook Pro (2020 and later)

Well good question— this is a feature I turned off immediately when it was introduced.

It seems this is the feature to float on top...?

Verify your are running the current stable release of Monterey macOS 12.2.1

If no insight or resolve—I would first try a safeboot to clear system cache files.

SafeBoot How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

Takes noticeable longer to get to the login screen, does a 5 minute disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, including dynamic loader cache, etc.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

If no resolve you can reinstall the macOS on top of your existing macOS to sort anomalies:
