System Preferences - Printers and Scanners

When I select Printers and Scanners icon in System Preferences I get an error message - "Could not Load Printers and Scanners Preference Pane". I have restarted - did not help; I have restarted in Safe Mode - did not help; I have reset my NVRAM - PRAM - did not help.....any suggestions? Seems like it started after an upgrade in Monterey...

System Preferences in Mojave is beach balling - taking forever to load PrintersScanners and then when its loads, takes forever to see the 2 printers that were there [I restarted my iMac and they disappeared from PrintersScanners] and now it takes forever to find the drivers. Printers & Scanners Settings not Showing When I go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, the page shows for an instant, and then disappears, and I'm left with a dark gray window that looks like this: I think this has something to do with the way I handled an incident that arose when I tried to connect a new printer. I connected a printer and then tried to print a page using the printer, but it was not going through even after a while. I tried to cancel the printing, but Safari would not respond. So I tried to add another printer. But then the printer would not successfully add, and System Preferences would not respond. I opened task manager and tried to shut down both processes, and I was successful in closing Safari, but not in closing the Printer adding process. So I shut my computer down, hoping I could start the process over. However, now I cannot access my Printer settings, because they do not display when I open them up.

You likely need a new driver compatible with Monterey. Your printer's website is the place to look; be aware, not all printers are compatible with Monterey and not all makers are providing Monterey-ready drivers.
