Star Trek: Discovery not available on UK browsers

I'm away from home and logged into my Apple TV+ account through an internet browser to catch up with the latest episode of Star Trek: Discovery.

However, while the rest of the Apple TV catalogue is available for me to watch, that particular show is missing from the on-screen menu.

Searching directly for the series by title through the browser provides this page as result, but there's no active content to click. Even the iTunes button is disabled.

I'm annoyed at being charged extra on top of my subscription to view this series to then be denied access.

“Available on iTunes” – that show is not part of Apple TV+, and is not available in a browser to watch at tv.apple.com. It is sold (not subscription content) to UK customers (with a UK Apple ID account) by season. TV shows for buy can be viewed in the iTunes application (PCs and older Macs) or in the TV app (on modern Macs), or in the Apple TV app on supported streaming devices.

I assume you know that Star Trek Discovery is available through Paramount+ subscription. Distribution of this TV series outside US is different:

Paramount+ is not currently available in the UK

There's a channel called Pluto broadcasting it - but Pluto runs scheduled broadcasts and not on-demand streaming, so you have to be sat at home in front of your TV set at the same time each week like it's the 1980s or something.

Apple+ is carrying the series in the UK - but viewers have to pay an extra £20 ($27) on top of the monthly Apple TV subscription to access it.

Which is why it's so frustrating to find - even after paying the surcharge - I'm being denied access to the show.

I'm sure it makes sense to someone at Apple why they have to make the whole process so tedious and annoying.
