Disk Not Ejected Properly Multiple times after wake from sleep

I have the same problem. Have tried using a different port, same thing happens. Multiple times.

This has been reported by several users. Not using sleep and only screen saver works for most.

If I leave it as set, is there potential for damage to the Seagate external hard drive? Why is there not a similar message with the Time Capsule I also use?

The setting is for the internal drive sleep setting so should not impact the external drive.

I am getting an error message when I disconnect my SSD backup. My husbands MAC is giving him the same error message when he removes his card.

Did you drag to the trash or right click "eject". You cannot just disconnect or you will get error message.
