Hello GcN247,

We understand you've restored your iPhone to factory settings and it's showing age information is missing from your Apple ID along with your phone number being used with iMessage. We'd be happy to assist!

Any time you use an Apple device that uses iMessages your phone and/or email automatically registers once activated. This should not cause any interruptions with receiving sms or mms messages. If you find your messages not working as expected, check out the following resource: If you can't send or receive messages on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Regarding your Apple ID, follow the steps in the following resource to update your age information: Update the birth date associated with your Apple ID.

We hope this helps.

I apologize, I left the previous question too vague . My iMessage and FaceTime after a factory reset . According to your answer if I’m understanding you correctly ? My Apple ID , phone number , IMEI , ICCID , all are registered .. so a factory reset dose ? Because from my understanding my iPhone or Apple ID recognizes my devices and automatically grants them access if I previously logged in on such device ? I need to change my Apple ID but keep my iPhone and number . But I do not want all the other devices associated with me , my number , Appel ID, email or any other form of syncing going on !! I need my iPhone to be my iphone !! I don’t want it syncing with any other devices automatically. Even if I’m on the same network . I have a Ex who is very tech savvy . He knows all the back doors of getting into iPhones . He taught me a lot .. Hence factory reset .. I thought would get rid of the syncing issue !! But it dose not .. I have not been Abel to work because I can’t get privacy no matter what I do .. so in the last 6 months I have changed my number 4 times including new physical sim , my Apple ID at least 6 times , I’ve lost all emails , social accounts that I’ve had for 15 years Finally in October I bought a new phone , straight from the Apple store because they kept saying there is no way anyone can get into my iPhone .. ( bull). I took the new phone straight to my carrier with there help I set it up with all the recommended security’s . On top of that I got a second “ SAFE “ number to use to give out to everyone .. I’m there 4 hours I leave and less the 24 hours . My iPhone is sending me voicemails that was on my other iphone !! And from there you should be Abel to guess that my iPhone is not secure .. because ???? I’ve been told it is a third party app !! It is this it is that !!! But it isn’t any of that !! It is because Apple can get into Apple .. all this technology is wonderful but truly. I would just like to have my privacy from everyone including other Apple users !! Apple is great but really making things easier for a Apple user is making it dangerous for unknowing customers . Let drop a pic to a friend opps there goes a piece of info , let’s check our email on someone’s Mac pops there gos more info , let’s sign in on our brothers internet oops there gos info !! Apple , Mac, Microsoft , it links !! Information even when you don’t wNt it too !! That is not safe …. That is dangerous !! Now how do I get it to stop !!! Please help and people read your contracts fully and know what all your fancy apps do !! Or what they won’t UN DO !! All these special functions should have to come with a warning first and foremost ! I have emailed I’ve talked to many many Apple tech and everyone just continues to deny or say just factory reset !!! Lol what a joke !! It dose not do any good !!! Here I am 6 months not working , no privacy , and a iphone that I can’t use well I can use it but not with any kind of privacy or security .. so therefore really useless .. anyway .. I’m sure this will be another step of wasting my time .. but I needed to try .. thanks in advance to anyone that can help .. please I wish I knew 6 months ago what I know now .. Apple begging started with an amazing humble man with integrity who wanted things easier without the loss of security .. when it started it was about Individual independence with security now it is Apple security .

Hello GcN247,

We understand your concern with the security of your device. Regarding your voicemails transferring over, that would be related to your carrier. Apple does not provide service for voicemails.

Regarding your device, Use the built-in security and privacy protections of iPhone on the page here. No one will be able to access your device if they don't have your passcode.

Make sure to keep your Apple ID password private by changing it with the steps under "Keep your Apple ID secure"

Check your Apple ID device list to see where you're signed in and remove any devices you don't use anymore or are not yours.

Regarding your Apple ID, check out the following link and follow each step If you think your Apple ID has been compromised

Contact Apple Support directly if you have any additional security concerns.

Best.
