screen mirroring

I was able to stream from facebook to my Roku tv until about 3 months ago. Now I can not get them connected.

I'm selecting mirror screening on my Iphone but it can't find my Roku smart tv. And visa versa. I have searched Roku site, Apple site with no luck. I've spent about 5 hours trying to get this to work.

Any advice?

First, if you don't have it already install the Airplay app on the Roku device. If your Roku TV or Roku device is still not showing up in Airplay or screen mirroring options, try this. Roku 10.5 software caused an issue with Airplay but can be worked around as follows:

On your Roku device home screen, go to Settings>System>Power>System Restart>Restart. After it finishes, (the TV will turn off, then on again and take 30 seconds or so to get back to the home screen) proceed as follows.

From the home screen on the Roku device go to Settings>Apple Airplay and HomeKit and select. It will reload the Airplay app (it took about 20 seconds on my Roku TV). Now turn on apple Airplay (it is defaulted off with the reset). Now, when you go back to your apple device, the Roku device should show up as a screen mirroring or Airplay choice.

Hi kchm8,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand you're unable to mirror the screen from your iOS device to Roku TV. We'll be happy to help.

If you haven't tried yet, we recommend to follow the steps outlined in this helpful article: If screen mirroring or streaming isn't working on your AirPlay-compatible device Specifically the section that says, "Try these steps first."

You'll also want to ensure that your Roku TV has the latest software version installed. Here's how: How to update the software on your Roku TV™ or Roku® streaming player

We look forward to hearing back from you with an update.

Best regards.
