MacBook Air restarts every time I open it

Hi-

For the last three days, every time I open my MacBook Air it restarts. The error message says that my computer was restarted because of a problem, but this is literally happening every time I open the laptop. I have tried putting it to sleep before closing my laptop or just closing it- same result. It’s becoming really frustrating- do I need to take my laptop in to get fixed or is this something I can solve by myself?

thanks!

MacBook Pro 13″, 10.15

In system preferences energy save, try unchecking ( Put Hard Drive to Sleep Whenever Possible). Also go to recovery and run disk utilities to repair drive. Then reinstall while there. If you are still having the problem download and run Etrecheck. Then post the system report in here.https://etrecheck.com/ You can use the free version.
