Use 27 Inch 2010 Mac as second screen for 24inch 2021 M1 iMac

I would like to use my old 2010 27 inch iMac as additional screen for my new 24 inch M1 iMac. I have the mophie USB-c cable with Mini DisplayPort connector but no joy when connecting the 2 mac's. Are there specific settings that I need to set on either Mac?

Connecting a 2019 iMac to a 2020 M1 MacBook as second screen I have a 2019 iMac 27" running Big Sur. I have a 2020 13" MacBook Pro M1 running Big Sur. I would like to use the iMac as a second screen for the MacBook. What cables/connectors/software do I need to achieve this? Thanks

Using my iMac 11,2 as a second screen I have recently inherited my Dad's old but fabulous iMac 11,2 and due to working from home for the foreseeable want to hook it up as a second screen from my MacBook Air. Speaking to Apple Support I need to use 'Targeted Display' and source a 3rd party cable to connect the two. I wondered if anyone knows if all I need is a USB to USB C cable or if I should be using the Mini Display Port on the iMac to USB C Thanks so much in advance!
