Magsafe 3, and what does it mean for USB-C pass through hubs?

Since Magsafe 3 is not USB-C, how do you handle powering peripherals such as hard drives that need extra power over USB-C on Macs using Magsafe-3? Is there a special hub that adapts Magsafe-3 to USB-C?

Thank you, but not quite. Is there a female USB-C to Magsafe 3 adapter?

While I'm glad Apple has restored some of the ports missing from the first USB-C transitional machines, others are still needed, and often need bus powered hubs. The way this was done with the first USB-C machines was to have a pass through USB-C hub that allowed you to connect your USB-C charger to the hub in one port, have a second USB-C port on the hub, and then you could hook up bus powered USB-C devices that desired more power than the computer could provide, but not more power than your computer's charger could provide.

Now there is no such option I don't see any way to hook up a USB-C hub like these to a Magsafe 3 Mac to provide bus powered support.

While I suppose I could hook these onto one of the available USB-C ports on your computer, I don't see how the magsafe power adapter will pass enough power to bus powered devices using these hubs.
