HomePod Standby Noise / „Hum“ - Normal?
Hello there,
I know there were a similar questions here, but so far I was unable to find final verdict.
So here is the question - I bought the HomePod and I'm blown away, how amazing piece of technology it is!
But there is still one potential problem in the air:
Every time I activate the HomePod by "Hey Siri", AirPlay or by HomeKit etc. I can hear the light noise coming from inside of HomePod (speakers?), I would say it is a "hum" or something similar, you know, you can hear this kind of noise/hum/buzz from your wireless headphones, from various sound bars and other wireless sound systems etc. It's very saddle, not too much disrupting, but it's there and in normal situations this noise cuts off right after the pause of music or simply if you don't continue in using it.
I take it with the timer and It lasts exactly for 8 minutes, then the HomePod cuts off and stay silent - I feel like its too long, as I activate HomePod for short simple tasks - turning lights on/off, setting reminders etc.
I'm just curious whether it is normal or there could be something wrong and as far as I have just one unite, I would be grateful if some of you Guys could try this with their own units and check for me the noise level in standby: If it is audible and for how long actually?
Let me know! Thank you:))
Btw. I'm on latest software and I already tried the restart or different electric plug.
