I’m trying to export iCloud passwords from keychain from Mac , but they are grayed. Apple support suggests I try it in safe mode, but still can’t export them. Any idea?
Note that they are recently used passwords and I can see them in either my iPad or iPhone just not in keychain on Mac. My Macbook Pro 13” macOS is serria version 10.12.6.

Ah yes and understand.
There is detailed and long process but can be done.
PS Have doing this myself for similar reasons as yours - I imagine.
Use a good Text Editor like TextEdit or Pages both Apple Software Applications
Open Keychain Application and navigate to each Password one at a time and Open it.
Copy the password appearing and Paste into the word processor Application.
Save and then repeat the process until all passwords are in the text editor application and Save.
For Additional Security - you can Password Enable the text file with yet another Password.
Just remember to write it down and keep it in safe Place for reference.
Guess the screen shot will have to do then.
Though, the same amount of time could easily be done via suggested copy and paste method and password protected

I’m trying to avoid this painful process. I’ve taken 23 screenshots on the passwords from safari, but I can’t export them from safari either as my MacBook Pro 2011 is too old . Only Monterrey and safari 15 allows exporting passwords from safari.

Thanks for your response. I need to have a hard copy of passwords on file. It’s really frustrating that apple has made it so difficult.
