Homekit notify when temperature sensor above/below threshold?

Hi, I have the below setup that is all connected in Home app and working on latest OS 15.3+

  • Eve Room Temp/Humidity Sensor
  • Homepod Mini
  • iPhone 12

However I am struggling to set up a simple automation that is

"notify me when temperature sensor goes above or below a certain value"

Does anyone know if/how this can be done natively in Apple Home app yet?

BTW - I know there are workarounds where this can be done in apps like Eve, Controller for Homekit etc. I was really trying to do this natively and I cannot see how Apple Shortcuts can do it either.

I know recent ios update 15.3(?) allowed temp/humidity sensors could trigger automations but I cannot see how they can trigger notifications. All i can think is I'm missing a setting or it's not possible yet.

Notification could be push notification, sms, email I'll take anything at this stage :)

Let me know this seems like it should be possible now

Thanks @Rudegar, sorry I should have made clear that I can get this far too, however, once you choose that WHEN condition for the temperature sensor how do you then get apple home to notify you on the DO this step?

e.g. I can set up an automation that say turns on a light when temp drops below 22c however I need to be notified when I am away from the home and it needs to be a persistent message I won’t miss, like push a notification or email.

i know this is possible with some other apps I’ve mentioned but I really hoped this would be done with apple home natively or shortcuts or something.

does that makes sense? Let me know if I’m just completely missing something obvious it wouldn’t surprise me :)
