So i was going to reset everything in the imac. I was on disk utility settinf and my son unpluged the wire to the mic. I turned on the imac then a question mark with a folder started poping up on my screen. What do i do?

What do I do please help me apple.

I was clearing everything off my moms iMac and I read an Apple article saying how to clear verything off of it and then I followed those steps and now it is showing a folder with and question mark it keeps blinking I do not know what to do i tried to use the keyboard but didn’t work out new battery’s in still didn’t work I don’t know what to do from here on it’s just blinking
