Messages refresh MacBook Pro

I have a series of texts, in Messages, from a friend that I'd like to save. When I log into Messages on my MacBook Pro, I see messages from her until 1/24/22, then from 2/14/22; all the dates in between are missing. How do I get the missing dates to show up in Messages on my laptop?
