At some point I have had my storage full. 2 months ago I deleted all the stuff, now I have 20 GB of free storage on my iPhone X.
But since then I keep getting "iPhone storage full" notification whenever I try to do anything. Sending a whatsapp message, opening the photo gallery, taking a picture..
Is this a bug, is there a way to stop this?
I am on iOS 15.2

If you can import your media to Photos app in a computer and copy important documents to a cloud server it will give you some resilience in case the restore from backup fails.
Chatting with Apple support they said that mail was using more than the 10GB free and that was why it reported storage full so buying iCloud space would cure it. I said that sounded like a sales pitch. Struck a nerve because they said that was their decision and sticking to it! They also said storage full was an alert not an error and I had too many apps on my phone.
Mail usage in data was 4.5GB and that was included in the 51GB total. Other threads have the same error and the same "fix" from Apple - buy storage. Wiping phone now and re-installing from the backup which is on my Airport and not the cloud.
I’ve done all that before searching for help. iOS 15.3.1 installed but with 51GB of 64GB used it reports storage full and I can’t open mail. One time it reported 63Gb used then went to 51Gb as I watched!
Did it a dozen times, doesn't work.
It is worth spending 99c for a month to see if it is true.
Delete some stuff or get a bigger phone.
I backup manually to the Airport, iPhone backs up automatically to the Mac. Worked tooooooooo long in IT to trust a single source backup!
