Removal of Non Existent Child on Family Sharing

Hi,

I have a scenario that is very annoying. In simple terms I want to remove a Child from Family Sharing. We had intended to adopt a baby girl and unfortunately the adoption fell through.

Prior to it being finalized I had already pre-emptively created an iCloud Account and linked to family sharing. According to many forums I can only remove the "Member" once they turn 13. This is silly in my opinion and every time I look at my Foamily Sharing profile I am reminded of an adoption that fell through.

How do I remove a 5 Month old "Non existent" family member?

Thanks

There may be a way.

Move a child to another group using Family Sharing says that You can't remove a child under 13 years old from your family group, but you can move them to another group or delete their account [my underlining]

How to delete your Apple ID account gives the following advice, the second sentence of which indicates that a child account may be deleted by itself. The first sentence indicates that an organiser can, in the event that they wish to delete their own account, can also request the deletion of a child account.

Can I delete my child’s account?

If you are the organiser of your family, you can delete your child’s Apple ID when you request deletion of your account. Your child can also request deletion of their Apple ID, which requires your approval.
