Wifi sharing from iPhone to Macbook

I can share a wifi password with my iPhone to other iPhones, but I can't share a wifi password from my iPhone to my Macbook. I think it has to do something with my macbook. Who can help me with this problem?


  • Both devices are up to date (macbook Big Sur 11.6 / iPhone 14.7..1)
  • Bluetooth is on (and connected)
  • Tried to share the wifi password after restart both devices
  • Tried to share the wifi password after wifi off and on
  • Tried to share the wifi password after bluetooth off and on

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.6

1. None of the devices are up to date

For big sur it's 11.6.4. But the latest macOS version is 12.2.1

For iphone it's 15.3.1, in iOS 14 it's 14.8.1

I'd offer you to Backup and update
