Apps on desktop of iPhone suddenly increase in size

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We understand that apps appear larger than expected on your iPhone 7, and we'd like to look into this with you.

For this concern, let's be sure Zoom is disabled in Settings > Accessibility > Zoom. When Zoom is enabled, apps may appear larger within the Zoom window.

Also, check to see if those are actually widgets. Widgets appear larger than other apps on the Home Screen. However, you can customize or remove widgets according to your taste. Here's how:
