Can I use iPad charger on MacBook?
It fits; but I have a feeling the charging power will damage the MacBook. Can anyone confirm ?

It can be used, it won't damage the MacBook in any way, but will take an inordinate amount of time to actually charge the MacBook. It will be so slow, that if you are using the MacBook while connected to that charger it will probably lose power anyway.
I would recommend the reverse if you only want to carry one charger, then use the one from the MacBook to also charge the iPad.
