Can I use the M1 iMac as an external display for the MacBook Pro 14" by USB-C?

I want to connect the MacBook Pro (2021) to the iMac (2020) as second monitor by cable or dongle. Is it possible? Both computer have the last version of macOS Monterey.

The very restrictive hardware and software requirements for Target Display Mode (TDM) are laid out in this Apple document:

Both your computers and their OS versions are far too new. Apple started the deprecation of TDM in late 2014 and threw the last shovel of dirt in its face in early 2020.

Since you are running Monterey on both Macs you can Airplay your MacBook Pro to your iMac.

"AirPlay content to your Mac.

Use AirPlay to send content to your Mac from an iPhone, iPad, or even another Mac."
