Turn off Apple TV screen while listening to music

Read carefully the entire question.

I'm trying to set a black photo as the screensaver of my Apple TV 4K as a workaround to turn off my TV screen while listening to Spotify.

I have an Android phone and a Windows computer and I'm not willing to install iTunes on my computer, which means I don't have a stream of Apple photos and I can't share photos from my computer.

All I could try was to put a black photo in an iCloud album.

Unfortunately, it seems you can't see iCloud photos in Apple TV->Settings->Screensavers->My Photos

Any solution to either be able to turn off my tv screen while listening to Spotify or to set a black image as the screensaver without iTunes or an iPhone?

Check the user guide for your TV. My Sony 65" TV has an option to turn the screen off with the remote.

‘Recents’ is an automatic smart album, and in some ways not a real album. Please try manually adding and naming an album, in the non-Apple TV way that you organize iCloud Photos (web/Mac/iPhone/iPad).

To select an iCloud photo album for screen saver, use the Photos app on Apple TV to set it up.

That's what I tried, but in the Photo app on Apple TV (4K), you can't set either an album or an image as the screensaver.

Also, you can't see iCloud in Settings->Screensavers->My Photos

Please put your set of image(s) in an ‘album’, then navigate to Albums (3rd tab), open your new album, and set it as screensaver.

Apple TV is a media streamer designed for TV and expects that signal to operate. Using airplay to cast directly to a speaker is best for situations where only music is needed.
