how do i reset my encrypted backup password to restore a back up?

The recent software updated for my iphone 12 bricked my phone and had to restore to factory settings

Now i can't restore the back up because i don't know the encrypted back up password.

There is no reset, if you don't know the password you won't be able to use the backup.
